The EK-RES X3 250 RGB is a versatile multiport standalone RGB reservoir. The number inlet/outlet port configuration options on these reservoirs and the simple but effective mounting kit make the loop building with this reservoir a straightforward process. EK-RES X3 series reservoirs are cylindrical standalone solutions, manufactured from premium quality 60mm acrylic tube and POM Acetal end caps in black color. An airtight sealing is ensured by quality EPDM rubber washers at both ends of the reservoir. The pump is being mounted with a mounting ring that holds the pump with eight screws. You can use four LEDs that are hidden within the socke of the pump for the lighting of the plexi version. The lighting of the top is fascilitated through the lighting module. Standpipe and Bubble Down both do an excellent job in this model as well. The fastening happens through either the mountings or through the bases that are included in the delivery. There are even threads in the socket of the pump should there be a free space at the 3,5″ drive bay.

Protium by Singularity Computers is a set of components for creating pump and reservoir combinations which increases performance, mounting options, flow inlet/outlet options and will be a feature in your build. Protium reservoirs have 7 ports for maximum loop design options. On one end is a low profile three port cap and on the other end a 90 degree quad port cap. The quad port cap allows for a hidden inlet/outlet configuration. Both caps have 3mm LED mounting positions to light up the coolant. Protium has an aluminum retention ring design allowing the caps to be rotated to face any direction, this is something we don’t often see and is vital for clean loop design. There is no acrylic on acrylic thread and the o-ring surface does not rotate onto the o-ring, this increases quality and reliability.
